IP Risk Rate
IP stands for Internet Protocol: The protocols are connectivity guidelines and regulations that govern computer networks. An IP address is an identifier assigned to each computer and other device (e.g., printer, router, mobile device, etc.) connected to a TCP/IP network that is used to locate and identify the node in communications with other nodes on the network.
However IP addresses are assigned to computers, not people. So it's not good idea to block an IP for long time. Also it's not clear to us who is behind an Ip right now. But this is a fact, IP is the first and last thing we can find on many types of attacks. Clever strategy is to make IP history database and limits IPs with bad logs.
IP risk rate use IP history activity to guess risk of IP. and update automatically every hour. We have uniqe algorithm to rate IP from 1,000 to 99,000. This is realy big range but we have to keep calm and avoid from high sensetive system.
Higher rate is mean higher risk. So IPs are near 1000 are whitelist IPs. and near 99,000 means really dangerous IPs. but the avrage rate is 60,000. IPs with biger rate then 60K are disposed to be dangerous. Sysadmins depend on security level they want, can config Deny List on custom rate.
